AASTRA neemt Ericsson’s Enterprise Communication Business over


STOCKHOLM, ZWEDEN, 18 februari, 2008 - Aastra Technologies Limited (TSX: “AAH”) neemt voor circa 65 miljoen euro de divisie 
Enterprise Communication Business van Ericsson (NASDAQ:ERIC) over. Met deze overname, die in april 2008 zal zijn voltrokken, 
verstevigt Aastra haar positie op de markt voor zakelijke communicatiesystemen voor internetbellen (VoIP) in West-Europa.

Enterprise Communication Business, met het hoofdkantoor in Stockholm, is marktleider op het gebied van IP PBX, convergerende 
PBX-systemen en zakelijke telecommunicatie oplossingen. Het omvat communicatieoplossingen voor bedrijven van elke omvang, 
mobiele oplossingen, telefoontoestellen en diensten. Met circa 630 medewerkers verdeeld over 30 landen behaalde Ericsson 
Enterprise Communication Business in 2007 een omzet van zo’n 300 miljoen euro. 

Aastra marktleider in West-Europa
De markt voor zakelijke communicatiesystemen ontwikkelt zich sterk in de richting van VoIP, het bellen via internet. Met de 
overname van Ericsson’s Enterprise Communication Business verzekert Aastra zich van een leidende positie op dit gebied in West-Europa. 
Aastra heeft hiermee ook een belangrijke aanwezigheid in een aantal opkomende markten, zoals Oost-Europa, Azië, Australië, 
het Midden-Oosten, Afrika en Zuid-Amerika.

Aastra Telecom Netherlands BV is een businessunit van Aastra Technologies Limited met haar hoofdkantoor in het Canadese Concord
